CSA snubs ‘Proteas’ most complete batsman’ – LNN

Herschelle Gibbs has questioned David Bedingham’s omission from CSA’s group of contracted Proteas.

The 29-year-old Bedingham has made an excellent start to his Test career, scoring 347 runs at an average of 49.57, including a century and two fifties.

However, it wasn’t enough to earn him a CSA contract for the 2024-25 season.

“No national contract for the Proteas most complete batsman,” former Proteas batsman Gibbs posted on X, with a facepalm emoji.

DOE charts path for offshore wind grid network

Building massive power lines in the Atlantic Ocean could link not only new offshore wind farms but also onshore electricity grids from Maine to South Carolina, according to a report released Thursday by the Department of Energy.

The Atlantic Offshore Wind Transmission study, an analysis two years in the making from DOE’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory, found that a connected offshore wind network would cut down on grid congestion onshore and increase the reliability of the electricity system overall.
